The Benefits of Lennox Air Conditioners

There are a couple of reasons why homeowners will love having a Lennox air conditioning system in their home.

Lennox has been the leader in air conditioning and heat pump equipment since its founding in 1895 and provides unmatched support to their trusted network of trained dealers and customers.
Lennox cooling systems are ENERGY STAR® qualified and offer the highest SEER values in each class of equipment model.
Technologies like iComfort™ and SilentComfort™ ensure that you can easily program your heating system and have constant heat throughout your home.
Lennox air conditioners are known for their quiet operation. Significantly quieter then the competition.
Lennox provides ongoing training and support to their dealers and only pairs with top qualified companies. Some say Lennox, and other higher end brands like American Standard / Trane, can be hard to find parts for. This is true for the unlicensed and untrained technician. Lennox and American Standard / Trane do control who can access their parts and product, only selling to companies that have demonstrated excellence in business, training, and installation.

If a Lennox air conditioner for your Santa Cruz, Marin, Santa Clara, and Sonoma home or business is what you’re after give our office a call today! If you have any make or model air conditioner that is in need of service, we are able to help you with that, as well.

What’s a Heat Pump?

Heat pumps are often confused with air conditioner as they have a lot of similarities. In layman’s terms a heat pump is an advanced air conditioner that can move refrigerant in both directions providing both cooling and heating to the home. In the trades, the word heat pump is used more to describe a process of heating or cooling the space. A heat pump system “pumps” heat energy, via the refrigerant, from inside of the house to the outside, thereby cooling the house, or “pumps” heat from the outside area in to the house, thereby heating the house.

A heat pump system looks a lot like the traditional forced air gas furnace with air conditioner. The outdoor unit often looks identical to its AC only counterpart. However ,as mentioned above the outdoor unit can change modes and is paired with an indoor air handler. The indoor air handler is the fan and coil combination that distributes air throughout the home. It’s a lot like a furnace, but lacks the gas valve. Give us a call and we’d be happy to go over heat pump systems in more detail.

Lennox Air Conditioner Options:

Variable Speed Units

XC25 Air Conditioner

The XC25 Air Conditioner reduces noise pollution in your neighborhood! Through Silent Comfort™ technology, the XC25 keeps its operational noise to a low 59 decibels, nearly 50% quieter than standard air conditioners. This is made possible through special insulated compressor cabinets, Silent Comfort™ fan grilles, and a precision-balanced, direct drive fan. Compare the XC25 to other outdoor noises in our interactive module!

XC20 Air Conditioner

The XC20 offers true variable capacity, adjusting cooling output in many small increments to make you feel perfectly comfortable, while minimizing your energy costs. Efficiency rating of up to 20.00 SEER* can save you hundreds of dollars each year on utility bills, compared to older or conventional single-stage units.

Two Speed Systems

XC21 Air Conditioner

At a mere 69 decibels, the XC21 has the same operational noise as a normal conversation and hums far lower than many other outdoor appliances. Due to the innovation of Silent Comfort™ technology, the XC21 allows you to finally feel your comfort without being forced to hear it as well.

XC16 Air Conditioner

The XC16 operates at its lower speed most of the time for the greatest energy savings. During periods of extremely hot weather, it ramps up to its higher speed to increase cooling power. With efficiencies of up to 17.20 SEER, the XC16 can deliver substantial energy savings. In fact, it can help cut your energy bills by several hundred dollars per year.

16ACX Air Conditioner

Responding to changing conditions, the 16ACX adjusts to maximize energy savings—operating at lower speed most of the time, and ramping up during periods of increased cooling demand. This multi-stage operation also translates to enhanced humidity control. The 16ACX has energy efficiencies of up to 17.00 SEER, delivering perfect comfort with a more affordable price.

Single Speed Systems

SL18XC1 Air Conditioner

Since it offers a SEER efficiency rating of up to 18.50, the SL18XC1 can save you hundreds of dollars per year in energy bills, even through the hottest summers. Innovative SilentComfort™ technology combines thick insulation, vibration resistance and a specially shaped fan blade to greatly reduce sound levels. The Lennox Quantum™ coil handles the heat like no other. It’s constructed from aluminum alloy, helping it resist corrosion in harsh conditions like coastal environments.

EL16XC1 Air Conditioner

The EL16XC1 air conditioner is built to perform and save energy. With efficiency ratings of up to 17.00 SEER, it can help save you hundreds of dollars every year on your utility bills, compared to older units. It may even help you qualify for energy rebates. The EL16XC1 is built with a scroll compressor that’s engineered to reliably deliver the cooling your home needs.

ML14XC1 Air Conditioner

The ML14XC1 air conditioner is designed for smart energy use, and designed to last. Efficiency ratings of up to 16.00 SEER mean the ML14XC1 can reduce utility bills without any compromise in comfort. It may also make you eligible for local utility rebates. The cool comfort and peace of mind you get from the ML14XC1 is enhanced when the unit is paired with indoor air quality (IAQ) products, such as the Healthy® Climate whole-home dehumidifier. By helping control mold, mildew and other contaminants, an IAQ accessory can make your indoor air feel better. Unlike some portable units, these accessories improve the air without producing ozone, a known lung irritant.*

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zach did a fantastic and determined job of conquering our leak from under our crawlspace. Bellows sent someone an hour after I called with a leak report, although it was the end of the day. He diagnosed the issue, got cold water working, and was back the next day with the parts for the hot. Great attitude and fabulous service. Thanks, team bellows!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I give high praise to Bellows for performing three different jobs in succession. First, after being called to have a look, a Bellows troubleshooter recommended we replace our 40-year-old central furnace. We opted to respect his professional judgement. A two-man crew came and got the job done efficiently and with little disturbance. We asked for someone to have a look at our equally old shower valve. A man came to estimate the job then returned to replace it another day. Perfect! We love that we no longer wrestle with the old valve. Last, we asked that someone come to look at our home lighting. A man came to help us formulate a plan. Another two-man crew came and began work. We discussed our needs and minor changes were made to improve our environment further. In every case, we were treated courteously. When they requested permission to make changes, they were forthright and benefitted our environment. A sticking point to me, a retired craftsman, is cleanliness. Every person entering our home was professionally neat and left not the slightest dust for us after they left. I am impressed. Overall, my wife and I spoke with many people from Bellows both in person and on the phone. We would like to stress our perception that in every case, we felt we were working with a family business. That is, we were addressed courteously, and as friends, not simply clients. A few weeks on and we still marvel that we waited so long to do this work. As you see, we're glad we chose Bellows. Thanks!
