Heat Pump Repair

If your home is comfortable, you probably assume your heat pump is doing fine. That may be true, but there are a few signs you can look for to see if your heat pump is in need of repair – before it breaks down completely. These signs include:

You’re experiencing lack of airflow
You noticed your pump making strange noises
You’ve received a few unusually high energy bills
Your pump won’t switch modes

If you notice any of these signs, it’s a good idea to call an experienced professional, like those at Bellows Plumbing, Heating & Air. Our team of expert technicians can diagnose the problem with your heat pump and resolve the issue quickly, so you can get your comfortable home back.

Heat Pump Installation

A heat pump is a home heating and cooling system that transfers heat from a colder area to a hotter area by using mechanical energy. In other words, a heat pump transfers hot air into your home when it’s cold outside, and it pumps hot air out of your home when it’s hot outside. The main difference between a heat pump and an air conditioner is that with an air conditioner, you need to have some sort of heating device too, like a furnace. With a heat pump, however, your heating and cooling devices are wrapped up into one neat system.

Installing a heat pump in your Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Marin County or Sonoma home comes with a number of benefits. For starters, heat pumps are surprisingly energy efficient. Instead of using energy to heat or cool your home, a heat pump essentially moves warm air from one place to another. They’re also efficient in the sense that heat pumps both heat and cool your home. You no longer need to have two units for heating and cooling that require two different maintenance schedules. Heat pumps are the ideal choice for homeowners who live in a milder climate. They even help to lower humidity levels within your home. And, since they’re located outside of your home, you won’t be disturbed with the excess noise from a loud unit.

To learn more about our heat pump installation or to schedule your installation service, give Bellows Plumbing, Heating & Air a call or contact us online!

Heat Pump Maintenance

Your heat pump works hard year-round to keep your home comfortable, so schedule annual maintenance to ensure it keeps working hard for your home. When you schedule your annual heat pump maintenance with Bellows Plumbing, Heating & Air, we’ll perform a thorough assessment of your heat pump to make sure it’s in pristine condition for the upcoming year. Since your heat pump works hard all year to keep your home a comfortable temperature, it’s best to schedule your maintenance service before the summer or winter, so any issues are resolved before your heat pump’s heavy lifting seasons.

To schedule your heat pump maintenance service in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Marin County, or Sonoma, contact the HVAC professionals at Bellows Plumbing, Heating & Air today! Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zach did a fantastic and determined job of conquering our leak from under our crawlspace. Bellows sent someone an hour after I called with a leak report, although it was the end of the day. He diagnosed the issue, got cold water working, and was back the next day with the parts for the hot. Great attitude and fabulous service. Thanks, team bellows!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I give high praise to Bellows for performing three different jobs in succession. First, after being called to have a look, a Bellows troubleshooter recommended we replace our 40-year-old central furnace. We opted to respect his professional judgement. A two-man crew came and got the job done efficiently and with little disturbance. We asked for someone to have a look at our equally old shower valve. A man came to estimate the job then returned to replace it another day. Perfect! We love that we no longer wrestle with the old valve. Last, we asked that someone come to look at our home lighting. A man came to help us formulate a plan. Another two-man crew came and began work. We discussed our needs and minor changes were made to improve our environment further. In every case, we were treated courteously. When they requested permission to make changes, they were forthright and benefitted our environment. A sticking point to me, a retired craftsman, is cleanliness. Every person entering our home was professionally neat and left not the slightest dust for us after they left. I am impressed. Overall, my wife and I spoke with many people from Bellows both in person and on the phone. We would like to stress our perception that in every case, we felt we were working with a family business. That is, we were addressed courteously, and as friends, not simply clients. A few weeks on and we still marvel that we waited so long to do this work. As you see, we're glad we chose Bellows. Thanks!
